A case where videos of sexually exploited women, including minors, was sold and spread through the messenger app Telegram is continuing to receive growing attention and anger from the nation. Up until an hour ago, a Blue House petition that's asking for the identity of the perpetrator to be revealed received 2,354,492 signatures. SBS has made the judgement that this case is an atrocious crime against youths and a serious crime that will leave irrevocable scars. 

So in order to prevent further damage, to assist with the investigation of finding other crimes that haven't been uncovered yet, and for the people's right to know - we have decided to reveal our exclusive coverage and the face and personal details of the suspect in custody. 

This is the 25 year old Cho Joo Bin, who created and operated the group chat room 'Doctor's Room' on the Telegram app. So then, we'll now go into who this Cho Joo Bin is - this person that committed this appalling crime. 

As of now, there's 74 confirmed female victims and there's 16 minors. Cho Joo Bin, the 25 year old who atrociously sexually exploited the victims, graduated from college in 2018. We went to the college that Cho Joo Bin graduated from and asked how his student life was. Cho majored in Information and Communication Technology but he ranked first at the school's book report contest and was also active as the editor-in-chief for his school paper. 

He wrote various articles for the paper's column and would write about the emotions he experienced during his school life. His grades were good to the point where for three out of the four semesters, his average GPA was over a 4.0 and he received various scholarships. 

If you look at his grades and school activities, he deserves to be judged as a excellent student but his classmates say that he did not have good relationships with friends (t/n: didn't have good people skills).

Journalist: However, his classmates say that Cho Joo Bin did not behave deviantly at school because of issues related to sex.

Journalist: The police has figured out that Cho Joo Bin began committing crimes shortly after graduating in 2018. He first posted a fake ad on Telegram saying he's selling firearms and drugs to commit fraud and steal money. Last September, Cho Joo Bin created the 'Doctor's Room' and began the crime of sexual exploitation. 

As '갓갓', the admin of the Nth Room which is the chat room that's the origin of the sex exploitation chat room, began to wither away (be less active) - Cho Joo Bin began to use even more provocative sexual exploitation videos to earn money.

Four years ago, you covered the <Cosmopolitan> with your sister Jessica.

For <Cosmopolitan>, even the cover is confident and daring, it gives off a strong image. I thought that it would suit me well and I really liked that I was able to express that. My sisterly love with my sister Jessica is well-known. It might seem like we influence each other a lot but when we work/promote, I think we're independent. The way we pursue things is different. That's why the way we influence each other doesn't cross the line. But if I have a worry, I talk about it most with my mom and sister. From A to Z, almost everything. 

When you're promoting as a singer, you go by as 'Krystal'. When you're promoting as an actress, you go by the name 'Jung Soo Jung'. Is there a special reason for this?

From the start, the production company wanted me to use my real name. It might be due to the fact that on the [movie/drama] poster, the other actors' names are in hangul but if my name is the only one printed as 'Krystal', it might make it stand out. It got established to be done like that after the first time. To be honest, I don't mind if it's Krystal or Jung Soo Jung. 

Are you the type of person that's not that stubborn?

In the past, I wasn't this laidback. These days, people say that I've gotten round. It made me think, 'I wonder how sharp I was that they would say that?'. [Laughs] I think I'm able to let things go/soften up because I've promoted/worked for a long time and met many people. I was also able to find headspace as well. I didn't have a particular reason for this but 2 to 3 years ago, I thought that I should listen to people's stories. Of course, I have things that I am persistent about. When I'm considering projects (t/n: movies/dramas), even if all the people around me tell me that it's a good choice, if I really feel like it's not the right one, I choose not to do it. Because I get a feeling that it doesn't vibe with me.

How do you make a compromise between choosing something you're good at and choosing something you want to do?

I think I like to do things that I think I'll do well in. I don't even want to do things that I might not be good at. [Laughs]

Just this year, two of your movies will be premiering and one drama will be airing. 

After I wrapped up my drama two years ago, I read the script for the indie film 'Shouts of a Father' and I decided to do it because I had a lot of fun reading it. While filming, I received an offer for the movie 'Sweet and Sour' (working title) so I naturally decided to do it/accept it. I think the gap ended up being long because the projects are both movies. (t/n: gap as in from the time the movie was filmed, goes into post-production, and then it's finally released to the public) I worried about it. If the gap is too long then you can lose your touch and people might find me awkward. But what can we do. It already happened. 

I found it to be an unexpected choice when you were casted in an indie film since you're an idol from a large entertainment agency.

I always wanted to do an indie movie and I was fixated on the plot that's focused on a pregnant woman who is in her early 20s and the unique character 'To Il'. To be honest, I think it's not me but my surroundings that makes me appear to be commercial. I like indie movies and minor music. <Shouts of a Father> is your first indie movie, <Sweet and Sour> is your first commercial film where you're the lead. Are you the type of person who puts a lot of meaning into 'first'?

In the past, I thought it was important. Because if you're the first person to do something - later on, people all follow you.

You're playing the role of an army lieutenant in the drama <Search> that will be airing in September.

I always wanted to play the role of a professional/career soldier. I thought I would you be able to pull off the role well because the script is fun too. It's fresh. There aren't a lot of people who saw me in uniform and it's a challenge for me as well.

What do you think is a side of yourself that people want to see from you?

Although it's been over 10 years since I made my debut, I'm still not quite sure. My fans want to see the singer side of me. I'm sure about that. I want to do it (t/n: promote as a singer) too but the timing was off and because I wanted to do well, I couldn't do it. I really love music so one day, I would like to make a well-made solo album.

I heard you like the compliment "You're cool" more than "You're pretty". 

In the past, I came down after finishing a stage performance for f(x)'s '4 Walls' but our male juniors walked by saying that we're so cool. That greatly resonated with me. I was really proud that it wasn't "pretty" or "cute". 

In your opinion, what type of person is a 'cool person'?

Just a person that's not fake? I think a person is cool when they have a clear view on things and expresses all their thoughts/says what they have to say. I'll be like that when I'm over 30, right?

In Korean age, you're already in your late 20s. Are you the type of person that's sensitive about age?

I'm not used to being 27 in Korean age. I wish Korea would also count age like they do in the United States. [Laughs] But I think it will be nice to be in my 30s. When I hear stories from my unnis, they're more laidback than they were in their 20s and they say that they really do things for themselves. So I'm more curious about my own thirties and I look forward to it.

Is there anything you want to do before you turn 30?

Lately, I've been talking a lot about dreams with my friends. When they ask, "What's your dream?" - I say, "I'm contemplating about what it is that I really like and what it is that I want to do more of." I think it's been about a year since I've been contemplating about things like this. Until then, I had no time to think about it. Even though I lived by going with the flow, I always did my best with every moment. For the first time, I found peace/headspace - if I say, "It's no big deal if it doesn't work out" then people would push and say, "Why aren't you trying harder?". I find that a bit unfair. I want to plead and say, "I've been trying hard this whole time, I'm doing my best right now too!". I now found a way to be/feel more relaxed but people say that I'm too young to be/feel like that. That's been my worry these days. 

There are idols who believe that they go through things that people experience throughout 10 to 20 years in a packed 5 to 10 years. Therefore, they need time to wander even if it's later than others. 

When I was filming a movie, a staff member said that they used to have a preconception about idols and that they ended up really respecting idols after working with them. They said that when they (idols) are working, they have a different kind of passion. To be honest, I hope many people are able to know about this. During my career, there were times where I, myself, would use the word 'idol' to discredit myself. I think I kinda didn't like the word 'idol'. But now, I'm really proud of it. I was able to do that, I can go back and do it again whenever, and there aren't a lot of people who can do it (t/n: be an idol).

[I Live Alone Episode 336 Recap + Naver TV Comments] Lee Si Eon speaks up about his donation "controversy", Kyung Soo Jin makes makgeolli + Hwasa reveals her new home

For this episode, we welcome back familiar faces: Hwasa and actress Kyung Soo Jin. It's been so long since Hwasa appeared that Sung Hoon jokingly starts off the introduction by asking her, "You've been really busy, right? It's not that we did something wrong to you or you were upset about us, right?" Hwasa says no but Park Narae continues to push the question and asks, "Who did it? Is it because of Sung Hoon, Kian84, or Lee Si Eon?" Hwasa jokingly says, "No, it was just... all of it" LOLOL

Hwasa revealed that she received her longest vacation since she made her debut and was able to "refresh" herself for two months. Actress Kyung Soo Jin hasn't made an appearance on the show since the New Member Orientation episode (t/n: episode 326). Kian84 says that he thought she quit. Kyung Soo Jin shares with the members that she has been doing well, she's been traveling, and similar to Hwasa, she was "refreshing" herself. 

After introducing this week's guests, the attention then shifted to our uhljang-nim, Lee Si Eon, with the members asking him if he's doing okay. Si Eon nonchalantly says that he's been doing well and asks if there's a reason why he shouldn't be doing well. Kian being Kian comments that he's been through some shit (t/n: from all the hate comments). For those who are unaware, Lee Si Eon was in a "controversy" a month ago when some people made a fuss about the amount he donated to fight combat COVID-19. Narae says that Si Eon is the first one amongst the 'I Live Alone' team to make a donation and Si Eon jokingly says, "I should've donated a bit more..."

Narae then checks up with Kian84 and asks if he's been doing okay. Kian84 was recently picked by netizens as first place for being a fashion terrorist (t/n: people who don't have a clue when it comes to fashion and styling). Hwasa asks Kian if he gets hurt by things like this and he says he doesn't at all. The members then praise him for the way he has a good fit when he wears clothes and that he looks really handsome when he gets glammed up (t/n: I mean he's called Model84 for a reason).

We visit Kyung Soo Jin's home and the members quickly notice that all of her plants are no longer there and the remaining ones are now... less lively.... Soo Jin explains that this is considered props for her interior design and that it's considered "dry flowers" but Narae quickly says that it's "die flower". Soo Jin who barely ate breakfast in her previous appearances suddenly began to prep rice by washing the rice. The members notice that the amount she poured out is a lot of a person to eat a lot. Soo Jin then adds even more rice to her washing bowl. Soo Jin reveals that she's making makgeolli (t/n: Korean rice wine). When washing the rice, you have to rinse the rice until the water comes out clear as possible. After washing the rice over and over again, Soo Jin leaves the bowl of washed rice on her terrace since she has to let the rice sit for 2 hours. Soo Jin then drives to the mountains to get water from the springs because water is a very important ingredient when it comes to making makgeolli. The production team asked her if this (the process of going through all this to make makgeolli) wasn't tiring. Soo Jin said that it was fun not tiring - she finds it exciting to eat things that she handmade. Soo Jin climbs and climbs the mountain and finally reaches the water! The members notice her reaction when she reaches the water and points out that she doesn't look as happy. Soo Jin said that she was happy that she finally reached the water but also realized that she has to carry the water back down. 

Soo Jin returns home with her precious water and gets down to business to defeat the Huns. Soo Jin rests briefly after prepping the ingredients and then checks up on the practice makgeolli she made earlier. Inside the hangari (ceramic pot) is the makgeolli she made for practice and you can hear the ingredients fermenting #MakgeolliASMR. Soo Jin takes a sip of the makgeolli she made for practice and.... 

It's a f l o p! She describes the practice batch as tasting too sour like vinegar. After bottling all of the practice batch, Soo Jin revealed that she put sugar in all of the bottles to make it sweeter. But because she closed the bottles too tightly and began to ferment again. The next day, she heard something that sounded like a gun and she went out to check and the bottles exploded due to the pressure. 

She goes on and makes the new batch of makgeolli and also weaves a basket while waiting for the rice to cool down. Our DIY queen continues to show her skills when she makes her own fish cake for dinner. The members point out that it looks like her dinner is a bit burnt but Soo Jin swears that it's not. LOLOL Soo Jin brings the new batch of makgeolli she made to the studio to give the members a taste. The members play rock, paper, scissors to choose one person to be the first taste tester and Sung Hoon loses the game. His reaction piques interest and all the members decide to try the makgeolli made by Soo Jin and it receives positive reactions! 

Although the things she drank and ate today are things that people can buy easily, Soo Jin said that she was happy that she was able to use her day up to make these things.

Our beginner driver Hwasa shows off her new driving skills and reveals that she's a fan of Bon Jovi. For the first time since her debut, she was given two months of vacation - the longest she's ever had. Hwasa arrives at Hangang Park to go on a late night stroll. Our mukbang queen then heads home to the convenience store to go buy some instant ramen. Hwasa jokingly says that she's also tired of showing herself eating but what can she do when food is one of the important necessities in life!

The members debate on whether or not Hwasa farted. Hwasa swears that it wasn't a fart and she made the noise with her mouth. Lee Si Eon said that if it was her making the noise, she should recreate it in the studio. Since Hwasa kept saying it wasn't a fart, the members let it go and let her keep her dignity. 

Hwasa starts her day by making Chrysanthemum tea and drinks her tea out on her terrace. Hwasa reveals that her new hobby is playing the recorder so she begins practicing her recorder skills by playing Camila Cabello's 'Havana' and Deulgukhwa's 'Don't Worry Dear'. After practicing her recorder skills, Hwasa cooks up a meal and reminds herself that she's on a diet so she doesn't finish all of her food :(. She looks back at her long vacation and  now that it's coming to an end, she says that she's getting the same feeling she experienced when she was a student and it was time to go back to school at a vacation but she's excited to make new music.
